BMW has officially unveiled the new i3 electric sedan, built on the Neue Klasse platform. This model stands out as one of the brand's most technologically advanced electric vehicles, immediately making a statement with a record-breaking range of up to 895 km.

According to SPEEDME, a key factor is the new 800-volt architecture and a 108 kWh battery pack. This setup enables ultra-fast charging at up to 400 kW, allowing the car to regain roughly 400 km of range in just 10 minutes.

The powertrain features two electric motors with a combined output of 463 horsepower. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is expected to be around 4 seconds, placing the i3 on par with performance-oriented versions. It utilizes the sixth generation of eDrive technology, which boasts increased battery energy density.

The digital aspects are particularly noteworthy. The new Heart of Joy computing system operates significantly faster than previous setups and handles the vehicle's dynamic management. Inside, there's a panoramic display over 40 inches long and a new multimedia system called Panoramic iDrive.
