Bugatti unveils unique La Perle Rare W16 Mistral roadster
Bugatti reveals the one-off La Perle Rare version of the W16 Mistral roadster, featuring pearl luster paint and 1,600 hp, marking the end of the W16 engine era.
Bugatti has unveiled a special version of the W16 Mistral roadster called La Perle Rare, marking the final chapter in the legendary W16 engine's production history. This unique one-off model was created through the brand's Sur Mesure personalization program, with a clear focus on design. The two-tone bodywork features a "pearl luster" effect, blending warm gold and white hues. Hundreds of hours of meticulous handcrafting went into the paintwork and detailing.
The interior continues this theme, combining white carbon fiber elements, gold accents, and intricate lighting to create a "jewel-like" feel. Aluminum details and signature Bugatti touches, including the "dancing elephant" emblem, complete the cabin.
Technically, the car is based on the Mistral, which is the brand's final model to feature the 8.0-liter, quad-turbo W16 engine. This powerplant delivers 1,600 horsepower and enables a top speed of 420 km/h.
Overall, only 99 Mistral units will be built, each priced around €5 million, but the La Perle Rare version remains truly unique. This move effectively closes the W16 era as Bugatti transitions to new technologies, leaving behind one of the automotive industry's most iconic powertrains.
