Stellantis has unveiled the new generation of its key crossover, the DS №7. The model features an updated name, a new platform, and has become fully electric for the first time, positioning it in the modern premium SUV segment.
Built on the STLA Medium architecture, the newcomer sits between the C-SUV and D-SUV classes, competing with models like the Audi Q4 e-tron, Q6 e-tron, and BMW iX1/iX3. It measures 4.66 meters in length with a wheelbase of 2.79 meters, and offers a trunk capacity of 560 liters.
The focus is squarely on the electric E-Tense versions. The base variant comes with a 73.7 kWh battery, delivering up to 543 km of range. Long Range versions feature a 97.2 kWh battery, achieving up to 740 km on the WLTP cycle—one of the best figures in its class.
The lineup includes three options: front-wheel-drive versions with 230 and 235 horsepower, plus an all-wheel-drive variant offering up to 350 hp (or 375 hp in overboost mode). The top version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
Inside, the DS №7 boasts a digital architecture with a 10.25-inch instrument panel and a 16-inch multimedia screen. The design follows the brand's signature style, incorporating Art Deco elements and targeting the premium segment.
When it comes to charging, the model falls short of competitors: maximum DC power is 160 kW, and charging from 20% to 80% takes about 27 minutes.
Overall, the DS №7 emerges as a strategic model for Stellantis in the electric vehicle segment, offering impressive range and premium design, though with modest fast-charging capabilities.
