Changan, Haier and Avatr team up on a unified car-home platform

Changan and Haier partner with Avatr to build a smart car-home ecosystem, integrating climate, refrigeration and oxygen systems for a seamless premium EV cabin.

Changan Automobile has officially announced a strategic partnership with Haier. At a meeting in Qingdao, Changan chairman Zhu Huarong and Haier CEO Zhou Yunjie discussed joint progress in smart technologies and premium car manufacturing.

The headline outcome was an agreement between Avatr Technology and Haier Kaitechi Holding to create a new ‘million-level’ flagship product. The companies plan to co-develop an intelligent platform that links vehicles and home appliances into a unified ecosystem. The move clearly aims to narrow the gap between the living room and the car cabin.

The project envisions integrating Haier solutions into Avatr vehicles: climate systems, refrigerators, and even oxygen-supply devices would interact with the car through a shared smart-home interface. If executed neatly, this sort of seamless control can turn the cabin into a genuinely comfortable space without adding needless complexity for the driver.

In addition, Changan handed Haier a new Avatr 12 in a special Royal Theater Edition as a symbol of the partnership’s launch.

The cooperation will span not only technology exchange but also joint R&D and the creation of customized vehicles tailored to user needs. Looking ahead, Changan and Haier plan to expand synergy among the Avatr, Casarte, and Kaitechi brands, building a distinctive premium smart-mobility experience.
