Infiniti is preparing to launch the new coupe-like QX65 crossover, which will be the production version of the QX65 Monograph concept. Built on the QX60 platform, the model features a more dynamic silhouette and a two-row cabin layout.

At launch, the vehicle will be equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with variable compression. This powertrain delivers approximately 268 horsepower and is already used in several Infiniti and Nissan models.

According to Automotive News, the company is also preparing a more powerful variant. A version with a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 is planned for 2027, expected to produce around 300 horsepower.

The V6 could pave the way for a Red Sport performance version. This lineup traditionally includes models with increased power, retuned suspension, and sporty design elements. In the future, such a QX65 variant might compete with sporty SUVs from German brands.

Production of the new crossover is set to begin soon. Preliminary estimates suggest around 20,000 vehicles will be built in the first full cycle. The introduction of the QX65 and potential future sporty versions could be part of a new brand strategy. Infiniti aims to reclaim its image as a driver-focused marque and launch more performance-oriented vehicles globally in 2026.
