Ferrari Amalfi Spider: new convertible with 631 hp V8 engine

Discover the Ferrari Amalfi Spider convertible, featuring a 3.9L twin-turbo V8 with 631 hp, a 13.5-second folding roof, and digital cabin. Competing with Aston Martin and Porsche.

Ferrari has unveiled the new Amalfi Spider convertible, an open-top version of the Amalfi coupe that replaces the Roma model. This newcomer blends classic grand tourer elegance with a potent turbocharged engine and modern electronics.

The car's standout feature is its soft folding roof. It opens in just 13.5 seconds and can be operated at speeds up to 60 km/h. Ferrari has managed to maintain practicality, with boot capacity measuring 255 liters with the roof up and around 170 liters when it's down.

Under the hood sits the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 as the coupe. This engine delivers 631 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch automated transmission. The car sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and tops out at 320 km/h.

The cabin features a fully digital architecture, including a 15.6-inch instrument cluster, a 10.3-inch central screen, and an additional display for the passenger. Ferrari has also brought back physical buttons on the steering wheel instead of touch-sensitive elements.

In the market, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider will compete with models like the Aston Martin Vantage Roadster, Porsche 911 Cabriolet, and Mercedes-AMG SL. Yet the Italian model stands out by combining V8 power, a relatively lightweight construction, and classic GT proportions.

The convertible's price is expected to approach the $300,000 mark, while the Amalfi coupe starts at around $266,000. Sales could begin before the end of 2026.
