General Motors has issued a special service bulletin to address a potential issue with the fuel pump power module in several of its vehicles.

The advisory covers certain configurations of the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups, as well as the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans from the 2025 and 2026 model years.

A failure of the fuel pump power module can lead to a drop in fuel pressure and, as a result, engine shutdown. That scenario raises the risk of an accident, particularly when the vehicle is in motion.

To avoid such incidents, the company recommends that owners of the affected models visit an authorized General Motors service center for a free repair.

Given how often these vehicles are used for demanding tasks, tackling the fix proactively is the smart move—better a scheduled service stop than an unexpected stall on the road.
