Nio L90 Black Knight design package adds aggressive styling

Nio introduces a Black Knight design package for the L90 electric SUV, featuring black accents and 21-inch wheels, available for Max and Ultra trims at 12,000 yuan.

Chinese automaker Nio has introduced a new Black Knight design package for its L90 electric SUV. The exterior styling kit is now available to order and costs 12,000 yuan (approximately $1,737).

This package adds a series of black decorative body elements that give the vehicle a more aggressive appearance. It includes black brand logos at the front and rear, darkened window and lower trim accents, and 21-inch multi-spoke black alloy wheels.

The option is only available for the Max and Ultra trim levels, which come with either six or seven-seat cabin configurations, and it is installed alongside the "Static Black" body color. The L90 electric SUV itself was unveiled last summer.

As a large-segment vehicle, the model measures 5,145 mm in length with a 3,110 mm wheelbase. It offers a spacious cabin with a six-seat layout, featuring an entertainment screen for rear passengers, a refrigerator, and second-row seats with a "zero-gravity" function.

The electric crossover is built on a 900-volt architecture and is offered with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive. The standard 85 kWh battery provides a range of up to 605 kilometers according to the CLTC cycle.

Design packages like this are becoming a popular way to refresh a model without a full redesign. Black accents and large wheels help emphasize the vehicle's sporty character and attract buyer attention.
