The Italian brand Sportequipe has launched sales of its new Sportequipe 8 GT crossover in the Spanish market. This model serves as the flagship for the brand, featuring a seven-seat interior, sporty design, and an extensive list of standard equipment.

The Sportequipe 8 GT falls into the mid-size SUV segment, measuring 4,738 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. Inside, it offers a 2+3+2 seating layout, accommodating up to seven passengers.

This crossover is based on the Kaiyi Kunlun, also known as the Kaiyi X7. Sportequipe adopts an all-inclusive strategy, offering only one trim level but with enhanced features. Standard equipment includes LED lighting, a panoramic roof, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch multimedia system with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and a 360-degree camera system.

Under the hood, it's powered by a 1.6-liter T-GDI turbocharged engine producing 185 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque. This is paired with a seven-speed automated manual transmission and front-wheel drive. A dual-fuel version running on gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas is also available, delivering 177 horsepower and 258 Nm of torque and earning an ECO environmental badge. Both versions have a top speed of 180 km/h. In Spain, the Sportequipe 8 GT starts at €38,600, while the LPG variant is priced at €40,600.
