Karea electric micromobility launched by Karel Kalıp in Turkey

Turkish company Karel Kalıp enters the electric micromobility market with the Karea brand, focusing on urban transport solutions with local engineering expertise.

Turkish engineering and manufacturing company Karel Kalıp has announced its entry into the electric micromobility market under the new brand Karea. The first local electric vehicle completed the prototype production phase in January and will move into series production in March, followed by the start of sales.

The project is positioned as creating a new class of urban transport tailored to the real needs of a metropolis. Development took place within a long-term R&D program involving prototype testing and engineering optimization.

Karel Kalıp's expertise in molding plastic components and industrial engineering is integrated into the body structure, chassis architecture, and battery layout. The company is one of Turkey's largest manufacturers of molds for the automotive industry and holds significant positions in the European market.

Karea will not only be a new product but also a demonstration of Turkey's local engineering capabilities in the fast-growing urban electric vehicle segment.
