Airbus and Mercedes-Benz unveil ACH145 luxury helicopter edition

Airbus Corporate Helicopters has teamed up with Mercedes-Benz to unveil a special edition ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Edition, which debuted in São Paulo. This model targets VIP clients who value a consistent style between their automotive and aviation assets.

The interior channels Maybach design language, featuring natural wood, metallic accents, and leather seats with diamond quilting. Buyers can choose from six design themes or opt for a fully customized configuration.

The five-blade ACH145 can carry up to eight passengers. It cruises at 137 knots (254 km/h) with a maximum flight duration of about four hours and a service ceiling of 6,096 meters.

Compared to the previous version, this model offers an increased payload of 150 kg and reduced noise levels. For buyers, this matters because it enhances both utility and comfort.

Mercedes-Benz and Airbus have collaborated for 16 years, with 26 units of the previous-generation ACH145 Mercedes-Benz Style built earlier. The new version is expected to start at around $10 million, strengthening Airbus's position in the luxury corporate helicopter niche.
