Chevrolet Performance Parts has unveiled a bespoke carbon-fiber aero kit created specifically for the sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. Developed by General Motors engineers, the package focuses on sharpening the car’s track manners while dialing up its athletic, purpose-built look—an approach that suits a model prized for blending speed with usability.

The Performance aero kit is constructed entirely from high-grade carbon fiber, balancing rigidity with low weight. The set includes a new grille, a front splitter, side skirts, a hood with enhanced engine ventilation, and a large rear diffuser-spoiler that gives the coupe a more assertive, cohesive stance.

Buyers can also choose an exclusive Tech Bronze finish for the wheels, a detail that underscores the car’s sporting intent.

The engineers set out to raise downforce to levels comparable to the ZL1 1LE while preserving the standard ZL1’s comfort and composure. To achieve this, they employed modern computational fluid dynamics (CFD), extensive proving-ground testing, and the deep motorsports experience within GM’s engineering teams.

The result is a 361% increase in downforce, bolstering high-speed stability and cornering efficiency. Pricing for the new aero package has not yet been announced. On paper, that kind of gain promises extra confidence at speed without straying from the car’s everyday-friendly character.

It’s worth noting that the sixth-generation Camaro is powered by the 6.2-liter LT4 V8, rated at 650 horsepower—muscle that makes additional aero grip especially welcome.
