MINI 1965 Victory Edition celebrates Monte Carlo Rally win

Discover the MINI 1965 Victory Edition, a tribute to the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally win. Features sporty performance, Chili Red finish, and exclusive details.

No city has embraced motorsports as deeply as Monte Carlo. The MINI brand has achieved remarkable success in the principality, highlighted by the legendary Mini Cooper S driven by Timo Mäkinen with co-driver Paul Easter winning the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally. At the time, this car was praised for its innovative technology, elegance, and agility in extreme weather conditions.

MINI has now channeled these qualities into the new MINI 1965 Victory Edition. This stylish version retains typical MINI traits while honoring the rally heritage that defines the brand's history.

The MINI 1965 Victory Edition series is available in MINI John Cooper Works, MINI John Cooper Works Electric, and MINI Cooper S trims.

The MINI Cooper S variant features a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine, blending sporty agility with everyday practicality. With 204 horsepower (150 kW) and 300 Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. Meanwhile, the MINI John Cooper Works delivers 231 horsepower (170 kW) and 380 Nm of torque, reaching 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds. The MINI John Cooper Works Electric impresses with up to 258 horsepower (190 kW) and a swift 5.9-second sprint to 100 km/h.

Paying homage to iconic 1960s racing colors, the 1965 Victory Edition sports a vibrant Chili Red finish. A white stripe runs from the hood over the roof to the rear, emphasizing its sporty character. As an exclusive badge, the white number "52" appears on both sides, referencing the original 1965 car's race number.

The roof can be panoramic or glazed, creating a sporty and elegant contrast with the Chili Red body. A subtle "1965" decal on the center pillar draws attention, elegantly marking the historic victory year. The 18-inch alloy wheels come in two designs: the two-tone JCW Lap Spoke or the black JCW Mastery Spoke for the fully electric MINI John Cooper Works. These not only enhance the car's dynamic look but also ensure optimal performance and secure handling across various road surfaces. Underneath, rally-inspired floating hubs and JCW valves are finished in a special color scheme, adding further sporty accents.

Inside, the cabin features the traditional JCW color palette with familiar JCW-Trim finishes. The anthracite and red combination creates an elegant and sporty contrast with the exterior. Details specific to this edition have been carefully selected for a harmonious overall impression. The number 6 on the clock, sport steering wheel, and center console storage box—adorned with a "1965" inscription—serves as a subtle yet effective nod to MINI's rich motorsport history. The winning 1965 Cooper S race number graces the key fob of this exclusive series, turning it into an everyday symbol of that historic success.

Starting in March 2026, the MINI 1965 Victory Edition will be available in all markets where the model is offered. In Europe, motorsport enthusiasts can purchase this version from July 2026.
