In 2025, the UK car parts market saw unexpected price spikes, with items like a Ford Transit front end and Jaguar E-Type bonnet selling for over €20,000. Learn about the most expensive components and driving factors.

The UK car parts market hit unexpected price records in 2025. According to eBay, some components ended up costing more than supercar engines.

Among the expensive units were two 4.0-liter V8 engines for the Audi RS 6 at around €14,000, plus a 4.4-liter V8 from the Range Rover Vogue. Over €15,000 was paid for a Porsche 911 Targa 4S flat-six engine and a 4.5-liter diesel from the Toyota Land Cruiser. A 5.7-liter Ferrari V12 from the 612 Scaglietti sold for roughly €17,000, while a 4.4-liter V8 from the BMW M5 went for almost €18,000.

Yet the most talked-about lot was a Ford Transit Custom front end, which fetched nearly €20,000—more than the Ferrari V12. Experts point out that for commercial vehicles used as small-business vans, repair turnaround is critical, and that drives the price.

The absolute record went to an aluminum Jaguar E-Type bonnet at over €21,000. Other high-ticket items included carbon-ceramic brakes for the Audi RS Q8, carbon-fiber seats for the Porsche 911 GT3, and rally-spec Ford Escort bodyshells.
