iSeeCars reveals 25 long-lasting vehicles of 2025, highlighting reliable engines from Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Cummins and Chevrolet exceeding 250,000 km.

Experts at iSeeCars analyzed data on the 25 most long-lasting vehicles of 2025 and identified engines capable of covering more than 250,000 km. The top ten features units from Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Cummins and Chevrolet that have earned a reputation for benchmark reliability.

The outright champion is Toyota’s 4.0-liter 1GR-FE V6 used in the Tacoma pickup and 4Runner SUV. The result won’t surprise seasoned truck owners.

Second place goes to Honda’s 2.4-liter K24—an engine that made the Accord and CR‑V stand out for a blend of pull and longevity. Among hybrids, the leader is Toyota’s 2.5-liter A25A-FXS, known from the Camry and RAV4 Hybrid, with efficiency exceeding 40%.

Also in the top ranks are the storied Nissan VQ V6 and the Cummins 6.7 diesel for the Ram 3500, while among American powerplants the 6.2-liter Chevrolet Vortec 6200 underscores the staying power of GM’s old school. Rounding out the list is Toyota’s 5.7-liter 3UR-FE V8 used in the Tundra and Sequoia—models noted for reaching well beyond 250,000 km.
