Haval Raptor Plus expands SUV lineup with larger size and more seats

Great Wall Motor introduces the Haval Raptor Plus, a larger off-road SUV with five or seven seats, extended wheelbase, and Hi4 hybrid technology for family versatility.

According to data from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Great Wall Motor is expanding its Haval Raptor off-road SUV lineup with a larger variant called the Raptor Plus or Raptor V7 Plus. This new version will be available in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, significantly broadening the model's target audience.

Externally, the Haval Raptor Plus closely follows the design of the 2026 version, but features a revised front panel with a solid light-colored insert beneath the HAVAL logo and a smaller emblem font. The rear remains unchanged, retaining the longitudinal taillights and signature squared-off styling.

The key changes involve dimensions. The wheelbase has been extended to 2850 mm, up from 2738 mm in the standard Raptor. Length measures 4912 mm (or 4792 mm excluding the spare wheel), width is 1950 mm, and height reaches up to 1905 mm. For comparison, the regular Raptor is shorter and only available as a five-seater.

Technically, the Haval Raptor Plus retains the Hi4 hybrid setup with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 115 kW and lithium iron phosphate batteries. Depending on the version, battery capacities of 23.7, 33.7, and 44.7 kWh are available, offering electric-only ranges from 103 to 191 km on the Chinese test cycle. Top speed is stated as 190 km/h.

Electric motor specifications have not yet been disclosed. Standard equipment includes a panoramic roof, while options such as lidar, surround-view cameras, side steps, and wheel arch trim highlight the model's focus on technology and an active lifestyle.

The introduction of the Raptor Plus shows that GWM is betting on versatility: the same off-road image can now be adapted for family needs. The seven-seat layout and extended wheelbase make it a logical competitor to larger PHEV-SUVs without sacrificing the hybrid efficiency of the Hi4 system.
