Explore the 2026 BYD Shark 6 2.0-liter pickup specs, including 345 kW power, 3500 kg towing, and Australian launch. Get key details on this new variant.
Technical specifications for the highly anticipated 2.0-liter version of the 2026 BYD Shark 6 pickup have been released. This variant boasts a towing capacity of 3500 kg and increased power. The vehicle is expected to launch in the Australian market by the end of this year.
Reports indicate the 2.0-liter Shark 6 will arrive in Australian showrooms as an addition to the lineup, not a replacement for the existing 1.5-liter model.
In this new configuration, the 2.0-liter engine produces 180 kW (244 hp) at 5000 rpm. This version also features an updated front electric motor with up to 200 kW of power, while the rear electric motor remains unchanged at 150 kW. Consequently, the total system output increases from 321 kW to 345 kW (469 hp).
The updated Shark 6 retains the same dimensions as the current model: it measures 5457 mm in length, 1971 mm in width, and 1925 mm in height. It rides on 18-inch wheels with 265/65 profile tires.
For buyers, this matters because the more powerful version is likely to feature only minimal design changes, limited to badging on the front wheel arches.
