Kia has launched sales of the EV4 electric sedan in Australia. The model is now available at dealerships, serving as the battery-powered counterpart to the Kia K4 for the local market.
The EV4 is built on the E-GMP platform but uses a 400-volt architecture instead of the 800-volt system found in the brand's larger models. In Australia, the sedan comes in three trims: Air, Earth, and GT-Line, with two battery options: Standard Range and Long Range.
The base EV4 Air Standard Range is priced at 49,990 Australian dollars (around $35,000). It features front-wheel drive, a single electric motor producing 150 kW and 283 Nm, and a 58.3 kWh battery. The WLTP range is 456 km. The Earth and GT-Line trims come with an 81.4 kWh battery, achieving a range of up to 612 km (WLTP). Prices start at 59,190 and 64,690 Australian dollars, respectively.
Notable features include adjustable i-Pedal 3.0 regeneration and Smart Regenerative Braking. Inside, all versions have a unified panoramic display with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 5-inch climate control unit, and a 12.3-inch multimedia screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with V2L functionality, are also included.
