The American workshop Helderburg, based in Arkansas, has unveiled a restomod Land Rover Defender called the Arvon, priced at $393,000. The project required over 3,000 hours of work. According to sources, this final price is more than double that of the new Defender OCTA.

Unlike many restomods that swap in modern V8 engines or convert to electric power, the Arvon retains its original 2.8-liter inline six-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. The motor was completely overhauled and upgraded with a new cooling system, featuring a fresh cylinder head and a dual-row radiator. This setup reportedly allows the engine to idle for extended periods even under direct sunlight.

Power output figures have not been disclosed. However, the vehicle benefits from updated brakes, including reinforced calipers and new stainless steel braided brake lines.

The bodywork has been repainted in High Pearl Metallic Blue. It also features a new front-end treatment with a custom bumper, updated lighting, and a winch. Equipment includes a removable light-brown fabric roof, black side steps, wheel arch extensions, black wheels, and off-road tires.

Inside, the cabin has been reupholstered in cream and brown leather with white contrast stitching. Modern touches include an infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and a steering wheel with a wooden rim.
