Renault has expanded its Captur lineup for the 2026 model year by introducing the new Eco-G 120 engine, which replaces the previous Eco-G 100. This dual-fuel petrol/liquefied gas unit is designed to reduce running costs. The Captur Eco-G 120 is already available to order.
The new engine is a 1.2-liter, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit with direct injection. It produces 120 horsepower and 200 Nm of maximum torque, marking gains of 20 hp and 30 Nm over the Eco-G 100. Power is sent through a six-speed manual gearbox.
Thanks to a larger gas tank (increased from 40 to 50 liters) and a 48-liter petrol tank, the total claimed range reaches up to 1,400 km. Fuel consumption starts from 7.2 l/100 km on gas and 5.9 l/100 km on petrol. CO2 emissions are rated from 117 g/km on gas and 133 g/km on petrol. Renault notes that the Eco-G 120 emits, on average, 10% less CO2 than comparable petrol engines.
The 0-100 km/h sprint takes 12 seconds, which is one second faster than the previous version. The starting price for the Captur Eco-G 120 is €24,400.
