Sky Vintage by Carlex Design: a soft blue Mercedes-AMG G 63

Explore Carlex Design’s Sky Vintage Mercedes-AMG G 63: soft blue exterior, bespoke leather cabin, chrome accents, and stock 577-hp V8 for 0–100 km/h in 4.5 s.

Carlex Design has unveiled a fresh take on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 dubbed Sky Vintage. The project draws on the color of the sky, which sets the tone for a soft blue body and a matching cabin. A contrasting black roof, bumpers, and wheel-arch extensions keep the look grounded, while chrome accents underscore the SUV’s premium character. The palette softens the G-Class’s square-shouldered form without blunting its presence.

Interior

Inside, light blue leather takes center stage. The seats, steering wheel, and decorative panels have been completely reworked, and the Carlex logo appears on the headrests and the wheel. The coordinated color scheme ties the cabin to the exterior, and the craftsmanship reads clean and deliberate rather than flashy.

Powertrain

Under the hood, nothing changes: the 4.0-liter V8 remains at 577 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, delivering a 0–100 km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds. Sticking with the stock output feels like the right call here—the G 63’s performance is already more than enough for an image-led special.

Sky Vintage showcases Carlex’s signature approach to bespoke customization, further cementing the G-Class among the standouts of the luxury SUV world. The emphasis on color and texture over radical bodywork gives the package a calm confidence that should endure.
