Volvo is gearing up to unveil the EX60, an electric alternative to the popular XC60. The full reveal is scheduled for January 21. This new model will be the first Volvo built on the new SPA3 platform and will feature an 800-volt electrical system.
The EX60 will also be the first Volvo to come equipped with Gemini, Google's AI assistant. This technology will allow drivers to communicate with their vehicle using voice commands and access advanced assistant features.
Volvo notes that the EX60 will feature a new version of the HuginCore system. This is the company's name for the crossover's electrical architecture, software, and computing systems. The equipment will include the Snapdragon Auto Connectivity Platform from Qualcomm Technologies. The computational core will be based on the NVIDIA DRIVE platform, accelerated by the DRIVE AGX Orin system-on-a-chip, which runs on the safety-certified DriveOS operating system.
According to the stated figures, the EX60 will have a range of up to 810 km. At a 400 kW charging station, the car can add 340 km of range in just 10 minutes. This model is set to be one of the notable new arrivals at auto shows in early 2026.
